Last weekend SYC ran races 3 and 4 of the 2020/21 Club Championship. It was a very nice day for sailing with 8-10 knots of breeze from ESE with up to 10 degree oscillations in the breeze and variance in strength across the course. The boat end of the line was a popular place to be in both races and picking the shifts was critical. The water was a lovely temperature and both PKO and SNAffU reported there were no prawns to be found! SNAffU also tried the creek for prawns and still mothing caught.
We were joined by some of the Brownsea Water Activities Centre members today. Patrick went for a sail on a Flying Fifteen and the start boat had assistance from other Bownseas members. Well done Patrick – we look forward to having you back again.
Next weekend is races 3 and 4 of the Summer Series, a performance handicap event. The first warning signal is scheduled for 1100 hrs. We hope to see you then.
