While it wasn’t the prettiest of days off the water, it was good fun on the water today. 15-18kts breeze from the SE felt strong and heavy at times, but the water was flat (by Sandgate standards).
Due to a few members on injury timeouts and others away there were only 3 boats today competing in the Club Championship races. 3 short windward/leeward courses were set by PRO John Mitchell, the right hand side of the course was favoured by all with slight increase in breeze and lift off the shore.
SNAffU topped the day with 3 x 1st places. Criss Cross had a shaky first race but finished strongly with 3 x 2nd places. And Secret 15 with John and young Harry from Brownsea Water Activities Centre nipping at their heels with 3 x 3rd places.
Next race day is for the Ted Rice Shield 25 February.
